Logistics Consulting Services

Logistics performance drives cost, lead time, and customer experience — and it rarely stays static. Rising freight costs, changing customer requirements, and network complexity all demand continual focus.

Our logistics consultants help organisations build resilient, data-driven logistics networks that perform today and scale for tomorrow.

How Our Logistics Consultants Work

Assessment — Every engagement starts with the data. We review your shipment flows, customer locations, and volume patterns to build a clear picture of current network performance, benchmarking freight rates against the market to identify where the biggest opportunities lie.

Strategy & Design — Our logistics consultants develop data-backed network models to minimise transportation distances and costs, optimise routing, and define the right mix of providers to match capability with requirement — across domestic, European, and international markets.

Implementation — We support contract negotiation and implementation alongside your team, providing the tools, dashboards, and metrics needed to monitor performance and maintain what we put in place.

FAQs

As logistics consultants, we have built up a knowledge of the different types of logistics  provider, their specialities and the key drivers of the cost of their services.

We work to understand your needs and help you select providers that can meet those needs.

We help you position your requirements in a manner that is clear and understood by service providers and support you in the selection and negotiation of contracts.

We are independent of the providers and work with you to obtain the best commercial proposition while being clear with providers of what is expected of them.

You remain in control – but you enter into the negotiations with expertise on your side.

Logistics costs move with supply and demand, with volumes and with changes in input costs such as fuel.    As a result, most companies should have a mechanism to review costs with their providers on an annual basis.

There are some benefits in building longer term relationships with logistics providers so we would not advocate a purely transactional relationship.    Where certainty is required, there is a benefit in making commitments across a season and working with a provider to improve the overall service across a number of years.

We maintain details of logistics providers that support multiple industries and service requirements.   Once we get to know your products and the markets that you are serving, we can use our knowledge and network to match with service providers that can support.

We are an independent advisor, advising on potential providers and advising you on how best to engage to meet your service needs.

Our logistics reviews are based on the specific flows for your business.    As a result, we typically require:

  • Details of shipments made or controlled by your company over a 12 month period
    • Origin and destination of each shipment
    • Shipment mode – air, ocean, road, parcel – and service level
    • Weights and dimensions
    • Shipment provider and rate charged
  • Much of this information is available from the billing back up from current freight providers
  • If there is information missing, we can work with you on alternatives

Logistics costs and complexity compound quickly when left unaddressed.

Our logistics consultants are ready to assess your current network and identify the improvements that will deliver the greatest impact.
